text notification going off but there is no text message

sometimes my phone will go off like im getting a text message. when i look there is no message i have rebooted my phone and still nothing,has anyone else have this prob,if you have had it happen where you able to figure out why

Probably an app issue. I think I remember there being a issue similar to this with the yahoo mail app, if you have it go onto settings and disable notifications, if not you may have to factory reset

I used to get regular "unknown" calls that do not display in call history.
Now I am getting text notifications without the text. It has happened on two different phones with same number.
Is it possible to call someone with a mobile through a computerised phone system
to another mobile and get these results?
I hope someone can help me.
