The first time I installed 5.0, I lost all my programs but that was coming from stock. Since then I've installed 3 different roms always coming back to ACS ICS. Only when coming from stock have I ever had to reload anything. All other times my setup never changed.

Re: [ROM]ACS ICS v5 (noCiQ)[EI22]
5.5 is out with Samurai 1.2.1 baked in.
Problem is he baked in ADW launcher too and Ive been using Launcher Pro for who knows how long.
Tried to install from market, but it force closes everytime, so thought maybe I could replace the ADW.apk with the launcherpro.apk....inside the install package.
Any chance one of you smart folks have a suitable lancherpro.apk for me to give that a go? - 11-26-2011, 08:55 AM #132

This may keep me on v5.0 which has been very fast and stable. 5.1 took away the version of voltage control that would let you over clock or change the voltage settings. And 5.5 adds awdlauncher which I never liked.
Looks like I will have to play around with the apk files to make 5.5 what I want.

Ok. I was able to delete the awdlauncher.apk and add launcherpro.apk to the flash. I was also able to add the full version of voltage control to the flash so I can overclock and under volt the phone. I also like the battery % icon much better in 5.5
The swype keyboard in this version. It is the same one I pulled out of the legendary rom and put in ACS ICSv5.1. So yes I like this change as well.
Negatives... The only negative I see, I think the nuberuno (whatever it was called) kernel was faster than samurai. And the 4g toggle has to come back!

Re: [ROM]ACS ICS v5 (noCiQ)[EI22]
I'm not sure, but they *might* be talking about the notification icon that shows when you have 4G on, sort of like how there are icons for WiFi and 3G up there next to the battery and time (at least on stock). I think I read some comments elsewhere about that going missing, but I can't recall if it was for this ROM or some other one. But I think I agree -- why would 4G notification be removed? It wouldn't be a huge deal to me as I rarely use 4G anyway, it's not especially strong where I usually am, but providing a notification icon that it's on is kind of a basic thing, so I'm a bit surprised that it would be removed.

Hmmm.... Just loaded it and the notification only had a toggle for data. From what I have been told that is for both 3g & 4g. Was also told with that on, it would automatically connect to the 4g signal if there was one available. Sorry but I want the ability to pick and choose when to connect with 4g as it kills my battery. Like I, said. My version of 5.5 only had a data on and off toggle. That just isn't enough. I want to be able to choose what data I'm connecting to.

Re: [ROM]ACS ICS v5 (noCiQ)[EI22]
You sure you're running 5.5? And, did you apply any post-flash framework patches or anything? Cause 5.5 doesn't have the 4G toggle in the notification bar, cause he added a scrolling bar (which is pretty awesome!) and it wasn't compatible with it. That's really interesting.

Re: [ROM]ACS ICS v5 (noCiQ)[EI22]
Keith
dont know if you noticed but that pull down has a horizontal scroll on it...nonetheless, there is indeed no 4G toggle.
Set up a gesture for it or a widget is the only way around it....OR you can swap out the systemUI from 5.0
On the positive side, if you get into the habit of using the data toggle when you are not using data your battery will last you days... - 11-27-2011, 01:55 PM #140

You can't swype gesture it. I have yet to figure a way to swype gesture to a menu setting in the phones menu. Settings/wireless and networks/4g is the only place other than the notifications dropdown that it can be turned off. And you can't swype gesture to that menu.

Re: [ROM]ACS ICS v5 (noCiQ)[EI22]
I just installed 5.5 (coming from v4.0) without wiping data. It probably would have been okay, but I had a customized version of Swype Beta installed, which seemed to mess things up. Also, I tried to install Launcher Pro when AWD was enabled by default, which caused some serious issues.
After all that, I just ended up doing another clean install with a data wipe of v5.5. I restored what I needed to with Titanium Backup and decided to use the version of Swype that came with the ROM. I ended up installing Launcher Switcher to switch to Launcher Pro. I found AWD is quite slow and didn't have many redeemable features. Everything seems to be running fine now with v5.5. I haven't done a whole lot of testing, but seems good so far. - 11-27-2011, 07:02 PM #143

Re: [ROM]ACS ICS v5 (noCiQ)[EI22]
try just downloading from the market see if it works. I was able to restore from Titanium, but not from market. in titanium filter for launcher you should see it.
The 4g icon is in the systemui.apk so no, but you can mash up the rom with that from 5.0 and give it a go, or use my suggestion above for a gesture...or even a widget - 11-28-2011, 02:13 AM #146

Re: [ROM]ACS ICS v5 (noCiQ)[EI22]
I am really liking the performance and updates in v5.5. Great work!
The one issue I have though is launcher pro will not work. Not sure if this is specific to me or this new version of the rom. Since its no longer part of the rom, i installed it from the market but it force closes everytime i try to start it. anybody having a similar problem? - 11-28-2011, 11:26 AM #149
