My Epic 4G received the Gingerbread update from Sprint this past week.

I'm not a fan and wish to go back to 2.2.1.

Sprint "officially" says that this is not possible.

Anybody know of any workarounds to get back to a working version of Android for this phone?

TIA.

Did the GB update, now the GPS is all hosed. I've had my Epic for over a year, so it came with Eclair. If I do a factory reset, will I be able to get a stock Froyo back on there?

A factory reset from within the the Settings option, no.

You will need to use a program called Odin and follow the process in the thread below. Use procedure #1 and follow the instructions. Any problems please post in that thread and we can handle it over there :)
