Upgrading to Gingerbread from Froyo ROM?
I'm sure this has been asked... my apologies.
I'm currently rooted and running Syndicate Frozen Rom, but ever since the OTA Update, I'm getting constant reminders to update my system. So, it looks like I don't have a choice...
So, what do I need to do in order to move from my Froyo Rom to a Gingerbread Rom?
Do I return to Stock and run the update and flash a new Rom?
Or can I just pick a Gingerbread Rom and flash it, and my phone will know what to do?
Also - so many Gingerbread Roms out there... any recs on where to start?
Thanks,

There's a zip somewhere to update modem from EC05 to EI22. Most roms include their own kernel.

I just ran my ACS ICS 5.5 install on EC05 for the last 24ish hours and it was fine. Updated to EI22 about 30 mins ago, still no issues.
I went from Syndicate Frozen Rom 1.2 directly to ACS ICS 5.5 without changing anything. Just flashed it and it rocked.
EDIT: There is a thread on page 2 with EI22 (official) in the OP. Also has links to older modems. You can CWM flash from EC05 to EI22, but you have to use odin to flash EC05 from EI22...
