CWM Question

Just wondering how everyone keeps track of their CWM Backups? I used to rename each backup so I would know which ROM was running when the backup was done. With the latest versions of CWM, renaming any of the backups causes the restores to fail.

Even renaming them

filename_favorite1
filename_favorite2

etc. etc... I know if you leave spaces that is usually grounds for problems...

I haven't tried that specifically. Here is an example of what I have tried:
CWM original backup name: 2012-02-01.15.22.49
After rename: 2012-02-01.CM7n31

When trying to restore the renamed backup I get "MD5 mismatch"

I just tried using "_" instead of "." and it is working. I should have tried different special characters!!!

That's odd. I have over 2 dozen backups following a pattern:
2012-02-04.02.35.35.cm9.a1.shadow.kernel

They all restore without problem.

All renames via ROM Manager.
