I was curious today about when I wipe my device for a clean install of a custom ROM or what not what happens with the apps that were moved to the SD card. Like is that data left on the SD card. I didn't find the answer but did find mention of SD-EXT as a partition on the SD card that is an extension to the internal storage where apps are installed to. Which had me wondering how that compares to using the manage apps move to SD card feature. Which is the main reason for this post. But I'm still curious about after a wipe if those apps that were moved using manage apps have their files left behind on the SD card. If they are I probably have wasted space on my SD card as what apps I move now are different than what I had moved previously. Which is another reason I'm curious about SD-EXT. If it works how I think it works then it may be something I'm interested in.
