    lol, epic title thread.

I'm lovin the battery life on Baked Snack 1.6 too much to try this out, but I'm glad we have lift off on 2.2.

I've seen on xda that linpack is showing 13.5 - 14.1.

Haven't heard about anyone running flash and adobe air apps yet. That is what I am most interested in.

Not yet - I'm mobile right now. Probably going to download and flash when I get home.

after spending like 3o minutes or so reading that thread,

flash is working, but its still very choppy. and im not down with the slow browser. so im gonna hold off.

how good is the battery with baked HAA?
i couldnt get the ultimate kernel to run good for me so i gotover it and stuck with syndicate. battery really is not a big deal for me, i get plenty and if i need to charge ive got a charger at home. and most of my classes involve being on a computer - drafting and computer management so im set : )

but i do want to get that seidio 1600 ma battery

Even though the scores are lower for MFlops and such I believe that the Syndicate/Extreme combo is just cheating the programs to post inflated scores, it definitely does not run smoother than baked snack. The battery life on step 2 is five times what I got with Syndicate / Extreme.

As for FROYO ... got it running on the test Epic and it is very choppy when checking gmail, browsing, I get closes and lockups when using gallery as well as bad experience with the media player.

Sort of newb do have root and have used Sydnicate and Epic Experience and updated newer version using Rom Manager. Best advice is fresh install. So I assume backup everything and reinstall. What is the best back up? (Titanium backup or another way?) And then can you install fresh using Rom manager or put on SD Card and Vol Down+Camera+Power?

When froyo hits will we be able to have 2.2 in addition to the OC hacks we have? Does that mean our quadrant scores could be 1500+?

To backup your apps and their data, most people use Titanium Backup. MyBackup Pro is another option.

As for installing the ROM, just boot into Clockwork and select the proper zip to install (it is recommended to wipe using Clockwork first).

Developers will have to wait for the source code for the Froyo kernel before making any cool tweaks. As for Quadrant, I never use it so not sure about that one.

tried this rom but def recommend waiting till it has either been tweaked by the community to at least a stable condition or wait till the official update comes out.

seemed to be buggy or maybe laggy is the better word. plus i couldn't find my bookmarks in the web browser. perhaps if i used the touchwiz launcher i could use the touchwiz widget to see them. plus didn't like the browser at all. did like the fact that we now have the full touchwiz which is cool and being able to install apps to the sd card rocks. also i was only using v4 not v4.1 and kept getting a fc like every second. might try v4.1 for a bit and see if that cleared up the fc issues. or i may wait till the rom gets more dev love

also one more question where does the os place apps on the sd card?

So the froyo update adds all the fascinate touchwiz widgets and tweaks ie? Music player lockscreen modifiable dock etc??

That'd be great even if I don't use tw full time.

IIRC music player yes, modifiable dock yes, but lockscreen no.

There are actually several roms thar include that now. In fact I think all of them do that support touchwiz.

Also to the person above me, is the browser problem only relevant to stock? From my understanding its browsing period

On XDA users were saying other browsers were fine, it's just stock that's slow.

I have a question... How do you go back down to 2.1? I liked using Epic Experience with Envy Matte flashed on top of it. Would I be able to do it all from ClockworkMod or do I have to use Odin?

You just flash it back. Easiest way would be to make a backup and just restore it. Not much to it

There's actually a theme available now that's compatible with Froyo if you want to try it out before going back to Eclair. You can get it .

Installed it. So far so good. Only thing I've noticed is that with the standard launcher, the phone dialer shortcut on the dock doesn't work. I had to create a shortcut to the TW phone dialer. Other than that it seems to be running perfectly fine. Haven't seen any browser bugs yet. Phone does feel a tad faster. Did lose about 40mb of free memory space.
