Re: Galaxy S™ II, Epic™ 4G Touch d710 Desktop Dock
Looks just like the one in the picture. The part I really like is how easy it goes in the dock and the same for taking it out you can do it with one hand. Coming for a bb awhile back having a dock and bedside mode was important. This dock and downloading bedside form the market is the way to go. I don't use a case either so it's easy to just drop it in and go

Does the phone fit with a skin on the back?

I doubt any dock is designed with aftermarket 3rd party cases in mind.

Finally, time for me to get one. I wish they would make some kind of induction charging though. I miss that.

Re: Galaxy S™ II, Epic™ 4G Touch d710 Desktop Dock
Yeah Just got my dock! No the TPU case won't fit. So Im sitting here deciding if I want to modify the dock and widen it. So the TPU case would fit.But I think the sides are hollow so thats not going to happen! Going to add some weight to the base though it just wants to move around too much. (sigh)

Re: Galaxy S™ II, Epic™ 4G Touch d710 Desktop Dock
I have one of the silicone cases and I just remove it before I put it on. But I am pondering getting a Skinit skin and wonder if it would add too much thickness. Maybe its time to break out the dremel...
BTW, I scored one of the deals from the AT&T store where you buy the Infuse 4G car dock for $17+, and get the desktop dock for $.50 (yes, the guy at the counter was as shocked as you are, if you have not heard of this deal yet). The docks fit, and you can tell that its made for the more squared-off Infuse, but for the price, its a lovely compromise for me versus paying nearly $80 for both official E4GT docks elsewhere.Treo 300 -> Treo 600 -> Treo 650 -> Treo 700p -> Palm Pre -> Samsung Galaxy S II Sprint Epic 4G Touch->Samsung GS3 16GB Pebble Blue - 11-01-2011, 05:45 AM #21

Re: Galaxy S™ II, Epic™ 4G Touch d710 Desktop Dock
Did the same at one store here in Louisville. Clerk scanned the Car dock, then the desktop doc and then just started blankly at the screen for 15 seconds or so.
I then said "Is it coming up as $17.51 + tax ?"
He said "yeah", shook his head and completed the transaction.
Saw that there was another set available so I grabbed it as well. Grabbed one at another store back on Friday. - 11-02-2011, 04:52 AM #24
Re: Galaxy S™ II, Epic™ 4G Touch d710 Desktop Dock
Picked up my car dock & desk dock from att last night. Another astonished service rep who told me "It has to be a glitch in the system related to the promo. I'll pretend I didn't see that." He went on trying to explain that the computers must think the desk dock is $0.50 instead of 50% (aka 0.50) time original price, so it is just entering 0.50 and forgetting to multiply it by the desk docks original price. I just said "I'm very proud of you for figuering that out, now do u have anymore of these {desk docks}." Alas I had gotten the last one........................ At that location.

Re: Galaxy S™ II, Epic™ 4G Touch d710 Desktop Dock
I have the Samsung dock, and when I dock it, after a few minutes it just shows that yellow floating clock, nothing else. So if I get an email or missed call, there is no way to tell just by glancing at the docked phone. Is that normal behavior?
