    I flash my kernel VIA Odin-pc & Mobile Odin with el26 & el29.

Download the EL26+CWM kernel TAR file from here:
Download Calkulin's Format All Script ZIP file here (it's attached to the bottom of the first post):
Download your ROM of choice and GAPPS (if applicable)
Place all the files on internal or external storage
If not installed already, install the Mobile Odin app

    1) Flash the EL26 kernel using Mobile Odin
    2) When your phone reboots and hits the SGSII screen, hold down Vol Up + Power and keep holding them until the phone boots into recovery
    3) Choose install ZIP from SD card and install the Calkulin Format All ZIP
    4) Choose install ZIP from SD card and install the ROM
    5) Choose install ZIP from SD card and install GAPPs
    6) Navigate back and choose Reboot
    7) Enjoy!

FYI this will perform a full data and system wipe, so make sure you back up anything you want to save prior to Step 1.

Yes. The ROM you're running now doesn't matter. You are not really updating, but rather flashing an entire new ROM. The only thing that matters is that you perform your flashing using the GB based EL26 kernel and packaged recovery.

Follow the steps I laid out and you'll be just fine.

El26 is the version number. Its only gingerbread there is no el26 ics. Look for the one made by chris41g
