It depends on the end user and device. Some people experience LOS while I never do.

Personally, I use the FK23 leak which is essentially Jellybean 4.1.2.

How is the battery life with CM10 on sprints gs 2? Have one leftover after switching carriers and thinking of activating it for a family member. ICS battery issues were so bad when I last used it in the summer.

CM10 is great. Battery life is ok. There is a tweak package on XDA provided by exit_only that enhances battery life in addition to other features. I used it for a while and found it to be great - [Tweak][4.1+][Dec 10] JB Tweaks & Fixes [AOSP, TouchWiz, or MIUI] - xda-developers You flash the zip through recovery after installing CM10.
