Default Get a spare EVO battery for free!

Go to your local corporate Sprint store and ask if they have any spare Hero or TP2 batteries laying around. You might have them check in their "e-waste" bin. Most of the spare batteries are from phones that were 30-day returned and sent back to manufacturer. The Hero, TP2, and Evo share the same battery.

To the OP, have you tried this yourself and been successful? Or have you not tried it and want us to do it?

I can confirm this works. I now have 2 hero batteries from the Sprint store for free, both were new. When I get the Evo I will have a total of 3 batteries. =) OP FTW!!

Hahahaha, I've been bugging my cousin (rep) to pass me the used batteries at his store too. He's waiting for more people to bring in their phones to fix. When that day comes, I'm sure I'll get the bad battery.

I've done this in the past with pre batteries. I can confirm it does happen, it just depends on who you talk to and if they're cool or not.

2 NEW batteries and a batt charger are 12$ on ebay.

Who buys a premium phone and cant spend 12$ on batteries?

I have a $70,000.00 car.... I'd be pissed if they told me I had to buy an extra battery, because the alternator won't keep the battery charged all day... Using your logic, I should say... no problem.... I'll just buy extra batteries to keep in the trunk and charge all of them every night when i get home)

If your store is helpful they will give "spare" parts. No B.S. here. But it is up to your store and what they have.
    Evo4G. Now with more Internet.

i think your logic is off. you are comparing a device that charges itself and a device that relies on external power to charge. but if you're goal was to bicker then carry on.

I can confirm my local Corporate Sprint shop does help out with spare parts. I got a new back piece for a Palm Pixi for free because it was peeling. I'm sure a battery or recycled battery wouldn't be much to ask for.

Actually, using my logic im saying "its possible i need a full charge at any given moment throughout the day" and so i spent a measly 12$ on 2 batteries.

You don't own a 70,000$ car, and even if you did your analogy is not even analogous. Way to fail.

Going in and asking for a free battery from a sprint store is YMMV and unlikely to actually be successful.

Oh, and i know you dont own a 70,000$ car because if you did you wouldnt be complaining about buying a couple spare batteries, even at full price.
