I am curious about how easily the otterboxes can be taken off as right now I am debating getting extra batteries and just switching out between them. Anybody have experience with them that can tell me if they think the otterbox would make this too difficult to accomplish? If I get an otterbox it would be the defender series...

Re: Otterbox case pics are up!!!
I sure can tell you first hand that the one Body Glove full case (2 piece) sold on here was a major PITA to remove when I decided to return it! Almost had to rip it apart to remove it. Not good if you ever have to remove the battery for any reason.

I know, right? I'm getting paranoid about my phone getting damaged. not so much the screen but that beautiful camera lens since I usually set my phone diwn on the back side... so far I've done good about only setting it down on soft surfaces but I would rather not risk it if I didn't have to.

He was talking about the notes here: Amazon.com: Seidio Innocase Active Case for HTC EVO 4G - Limited Edition: Cell Phones & Service

I have Seidio, its ok... gonna go to Otterbox as I have one on my blackberry 8330 and I know port covers are important FTW
Sadly so far no dock will accomodate the phone being in a case, well my blackberry didn't have a dock, I didn't need one in a dock because I could just pull it out of my holster while driving so I liked that... my EVO isn't so easy to do that. - 09-04-2010, 09:32 AM

I bought the htc silicon skin from the sprint store and after a month I have already worn off the outer rubber layer on the sides, from sliding it in and out of my front pocket.
They have addressed a few design flaws of the others, covered ports and large buttons. One thing I don't like about the commuter is the bottom corners aren't covered with the plastic, just the rubber. Hopefully the final version will change in those spots, but I doubt it.
I still think it is the best design. Good products take time to perfect and it's clear otterbox put a lot of r&d into these cases. - 09-07-2010, 04:29 PM #41
I have the Seidio Active X,it's a great case for sure, but i work in construction so i want a real tuff case. My friend has one for his Iphone and its great.so ill be getting rid of the Seideo.

I think I mentioned that I had the Seidio Active Limited Edition holster combo. Its an ok case, I prefer the otterbox on my blackberry (I think I said that too)
Since I got the car dock, the case doesn't work with that setup, neither does the holster if its naked. I ordered another holster made by seidio due to their quality, this holster will hold a naked EVO.
I unfortunately will not be needing my seidio case on a regular basis with the setup I choose to go with. I would rather have a car dock that will accommodate a seidio case not one of those universal holders.
I probably will buy an otterbox case though, they are better built even though seidio is pretty good, I will more than likely use my seidio case when I go traveling in October where I will not have access to my car dock and uncase it when I get home. - 09-09-2010, 10:44 AM #44Thanked by:

Same here, I already have the Active so I don't wanna buy the same type of case. Even if it is better quality, my Active was just packaged up and sent back to Seidio for the 2nd time today....the rubberized coating is completely worn off 3 corners just like my 1st one. Its going on Ebay once it gets back to me.
I'm waiting for the Defender and then I will be a 2 case guy. The Casemate Barely There (work in a office during the week) and the Defender (I mountain bike, hunt, and camp almost every weekend). - 09-09-2010, 11:30 AM #47

I just ordered the Otterbox Commuter series for the EVO. I let you know how it is. If anyone wants to order I found a coupon code that gives you free shipping and 10% off.
Here it is: tb810z
That should get you the free shipping(FEDEX) and 10% off.
By the way, does anyone know anything about the screen protector that is included. Is it any good? Is it clear or antiglare? I have a boxwave crystal clear on now, but I just scratched it up and need to replace and don't know if I should wait to see how the protector is. Anyone who has gotten the Otterbox's before, how are the included screen protectors?Last edited by dfine1966; 09-09-2010 at 03:26 PM.

Looks nicer than the Seidio Active, but we won't know for sure until someone does a side by side review.
