Commuter. definitely getting this, covered ports ftw. This is why I waited on otterbox.:

The Defender Series is the way to go for me. I had it for the Ifruit and it saved me many times from drops, bumps and water.

Is the back of the commuter rubber or plastic? I like the innocase because it doesn't really scratch. But I want the covers over the headphone and charge ports.

The commuter has a hard plastic outermost shell/back.

Anyone with the seidio rugged going to get this otterbox? I have in and love the seidio, but this looks great as well. Only thing is that I hate built in screen protectors. I like my seidio screen protector. Hopefully somehow I can take the screen out...

Only the defender has the built in screen protector, the commuter just has a diy protective film that you can use or not....

Most Likely. I want the Defender. The Commuter looks very similar to the Seidio Active (which I currently have).

The simple answer.........YES

I have had 5 cases from Seidio and they have all had an issue. The Active (Not the limited) has been a god case, but the angles don't line up and ths is the 2nd one where the Seidio's awesome rubberized coating is wearing off and I have bald spots on the case. 1st one happened after 4 days and this one took 3 weeks.

It seems that I can't buy anything without having some sort of problem, the first active limited case I took out of the box and one corner was missing the rubber soft touch coating. The second is starting and called again and it looks just like my first one I got. I'm starting to get flash backs to broken off tabs for the pre.

I am having similar problems. I had to have 3 Innocase II surface till I got one that sort of worked. I don't like it so I have been using the Body Glove that I got from Sprint, which I thought was ok, but tonight the the part around the volume button all of a sudden cracked. So now I am forced to use the Innocase II Surface until they release the Otterbox Commuter series. I hope, at least the Seidio will protect and not ruin my phone until the Otterbox comes out.

Yeah I submitted and RMA request yesterday and I'm just going to sell it on Ebay when I get the replacement. I'm done with Seidio, I'll just use my Case-Mate Barely There until the Oterbox Defender comes out.
