Default Seidio 3500 ghetto review with pics

I had white spots on my screen, so I got a new phone last week (well kinda new, its a refurb but the screen is gorgeous) in just two days...Thanks Sprint Repair Center Store! Since I was getting a new phone, I decided that I would take the plunge and get the Seidio 3500, and I have been extremely happy.

In a nutshell, the battery makes the phone what it should have been in the first place. I can do everything I normally do with the phone with absolutely no worry about battery life for at least 40 hours. The new battery cover/back is amazing as well, stays on better than stock, keeps the camera lens very well protected and I feel its stout enough for me to go caseless.

I also quit running all my task killers etc. Android seems to know how to throttle back all by itself as the battery life drops, and with this battery you can actually tell its doing it.

The only app I added was Battery Indicator Pro, which is amazing, and I still use System Panel in case I need to kill a hung app.

**I picked up the battery with new back cover, The combo charger, and Innocase Surface Case for the 3500 battery all for 99 bucks through MobileCityOnline...super deal.

Next to my old Platinum Case

    With the Innocase Snap Cover

The extended battery is flush against a flat surface using the kickstand...Its MORE stable with it!

    Easier to hold!!

Hope this helps anyone thinking of getting it, It was the best money I have spent recently with the exception of the APR stage 1 upgrade to my 10' GTI

Welcome to the club. I got mine last week and then rooted (thanks to jerzy's promotions lol) and I'm no longer worried about battery life at all.

IMO that huge rumpshaker frankenstein battery and back ruins what was once a very sleek and beautiful device. the stock battery life is more than acceptable for most people under normal conditions and use. i think some people insist on mod-ing out everything they own - be it phone, car, etc. regardless of real need or added utility - just because they can.

but - to each his own. as long as you are happy - that's all that matters.

    enjoy.

Which... I agree I love my 3500 and they do make a snap on case for it which I like but think could be better ... in tome I think they will make more options

    I Love my Evo

It's in the spirit of Android. Complete and utter control and customization. This will work wonders for my long flight to Hawaii in December.

"Normal" conditions are for "normal" phones. I don't consider the Evo to be a normal phone at all. I could easily make it through the day with my stock battery. UNLESS I wanted to use GPS Navigation or stream music for a couple of hours, or maybe watch some youtube on my lunch break. Oh yeah, then I might play a game or two and guess what? Time to plug in. Or perhaps I am working in an area with little to no cell reception, watch that battery drain 1% every 2 minutes....

The battery may look like a beast, but I tell ya it was the best thing I think I could have bought for this phone, period... I love it.

I really cant think of a need for it unless you are going to use the phone for ballistic testing....The new back cover protects the lens extremely well. You give up protection for the sides of the phone, but personally I don't mind a few scratches on the case as long as the screen and camera lens are pristine.

How much heavier does it make the Evo?

Its pretty heavy now, but it feels really solid and balanced so its not bad. I refuse to wear a belt clip and its fine in my back pocket with shorts, slacks, or jeans. Not so good for leather chaps though (j/k)

Fed-ex delivered my package today. I ordered the belt holster as well, the one intended for an uncased Evo,,the fit and finish is great, battery cover fits nice and flush, the holster also has that rubberized finish which I really like.before I made this purchase I had this baby housed in a seidio rugged case and just got sick of walking around with a well protected "paperweight"seeing as the battery was fried by noon..anyway its only been a few hours so no real world results..just wanted to throw up some pics with the holster..
