Modify Otterbox case to accomodate extended battery?

Has anyone tried to Dremel the back of an Otterbox case to accomodate an extended back battery? I really want an extended battery but refuse to take off my Otterbox case.

if you are cutting into the Otterbox you are defeating the purpose of the case and are weakening it.

Since you do not want to give up the Otterbox protection have you thought about using a portable charger that you can just plug into the phone whenever it needs juice?
