I just found an amazing app called Backcountry Navigator which allows you to use GPS and view topo maps without cell service. I do a lot of hiking and backpacking, so it is the coolest thing to me since sliced bread. I have a Garmin GPS, but this will allow me to use the awesome 4.3 inch color screen of the EVO instead of the small grayscale screen on my GPS.

So here is my question. We all know the EVO is a battery hog. With airplane mode on, I'm guessing I'll get about a day of navigation since it still needs to use GPS. I'd like to be able to charge it in the great outdoors and am trying to find the best solution. So I've been researching the Solio Classic and the Goal0 Nomad 7M?

It looks likes the Solio holds a charge that you can use at any time, but it takes 9 hours of sun to do it. The 7M doesn't hold a charge, but only takes 1 hour to fully charge your phone.

Anyone tried either of these, or others?
