I have a couple of strange issues that keeps coming back, the frequency of their return has become very anoying.
1-On some of my screens, there are "+" symbols all over it...like you are preparing to set new icons or something...but I'm not.
2-When using the "Favorite Contacts" I have set up on one of my screens, one of the contacts will disappear after calling it...to be replaced with 2 of one of the other contacts...it is not in edit mode. So to correct it I either need to go to"Edit" and then the contact will automatically come back on it's own and then "Save" it. Or ignore the problem and eventually the other contact comes back on it own.
3- On occasion I will be either trying to dial a number or use the keypad for accessing voice mail and the darn screen will black out and then come back on, then back out and come back on....and on and onand on! It is super frustrating!
Running Android version4.1.2, hardware version I535.10. I have pulled the battery, checked for updates and tried to find similar issues on the threads.

One of my buddies just got a AT&T Galaxy S4 and he changed his wallpaper to one he liked, not one of the ones that comes on the phone. I might add that he used a Wallpaper App to put it on his S4, so not sure if that makes a difference or not. We tried one of the Wallpapers that came on the phone and with either of the Wallpapers, the Home Screen Doesn't Rotate in Landscape View. Is there a setting we're missing to get the Home Screen to Rotate? I know about the possibilities of Changing launchers to do this. I have a Verizon Galaxy S3 and My custom Wallpaper and Home Screen Rotates using Nova Launcher Prime.
My Buddy is new to Smartphones and Android, So don't want to Overwhelm him with putting a different Launcher on his S4. He's just learning how to do the basic stuff so far. Just wondering if this is a Touchwiz thing or just something with the S4? He's also On 4.2.2, whereas I'm only on 4.1.2, so don't know if that makes a difference or not. From day of launch I never purchased a protector because of the early concerns of the soft key responsiveness. I am very careful with my phone, blowing any dust off before using it, and I don't keep it in my pocket too often. So far, I haven't noticed any issues.

From time to time my phone freezes then a popup window appears, telling me that the Video Player crashed or something like that. I always proceed to "Ok" when asked to kill it or wait for it to respond. After the short freeze and the notification it's as if nothing happened.

Any ideas as to why this is happening?
