Hello

A friend of mine bought an HTC Desire S (currently running the latest stock firmware Android 2.3.5) through a subscription plan, and would like to remove some of the default applications that came with the phone but the option to remove them are disabled when going into the Apps section.

Is there a way to remove them without rooting the phone?

Thank you.

I have an HTC Desire S and it stopped working suddenly a few days ago. (I think it got wet in the rain)

At first when it stopped, when I turned it on, the hboot screen appeared with a few options to choose from including "Recovery", "Fast boot" etc. but I couldn't select the options. I could only scroll through them one way (Only one way) and could not select which makes me think one of my volume buttons is faulty and maybe the power button too, since they are the buttons you use to scroll through and select.

Now, however, the hboot screen does not even appear. The screen remains off and the only sign of life in the phone is the led flashing green, off, red, off, green, off...you get the idea.

I have a feeling there may be nothing I can do and the phone is simply dead but I was hoping that somebody may have encountered this before and is able to help me..

Thank you :)
