I have a metropcs LG-MS690 2.2.1 version
I recently moved ever since I moved I only get 1g network I know there is 3g were I am cause theres a metrostore around me that sell them. I was told by a friend that its because the network im on is still using the satillites from my original home location were I bought the phone. Is there anyway for me update my location or the satilites being used.

Second I been having troubles with to much junk store on my metropcs eating up my internal phone mem keeping me from getting text or install programs I want. id love to get rid of a few that update constantly that I try to uninstall but it wont let me. For example boingo wifi some, map program, and ive even been told that there a smaller wifi finder programs available that work just as well as the metro one that are not 21mb of space. I recently tried rooting it with Gingerbreak v1.2 using the exploit Chainfire it says its a superuser and that it rooted my phone but the applications still wont let me uninstall them under the settings. I tried in a filemanager and it says it was successfully deleted but when I look back at settings its still in there even after a reset. I did however only find the apk in the app section of the internal memory. Wouldn't that be the installer pack and not the program. Im not computer illiterate but I am phone illiterate and im afraid to do much I don't understand since it kinda seems like id be playing with the system files, bios or registry keys. ive spent days and hours trying to find a legit place to download something to root my phone in the first place and it didn't seem to work.

Any help would be appreciated
I can be emailed at orionx79@yahoo.com which is my most checked email or of course a post here. I thank any for help in advance on either topic. If emailing me please type lg optimus in the subject line so I know its not spam

Hi,

I just bought my first Android phone, a LG P710 Optimus L7 II. I love it.

Just one problem. For some reason, when i haven't used the phone for a little while, the WiFi disconnects. In Settings> WiFi> Advanced the 'Keep WiFi on during sleep' is set to 'Always'. So i don't understand why it turns itself off.

Any help would be fantastic

Thanks :)

What exactly has happened to my Dual Sim LG P698?

0. Jailbroken n unlocked my iphone before so i wanted to now mess with android LG P698 dual sim.
1. Rooted my phone to remove unwanted bloatware. Didn't backup
2. Removed LGHome.apk by mistake. Menu disappeared.
3. Thought i may have to install CWM before recovery (read somewhere that recovery with stock ROM was not possible). Tried to get CWM working.
4. gscript kept showing errors with CWM (basically the script didn't go as was mentioned) Something then made the phone reboot. Stuck on black screen with LG logo ever since.

Questions
--------------
1.How bad is the situation?
2.Can i simply undo the CWM thing now and get back to my rooted state with LGHome.apk still absent? If yes, how? Also how do I then get LGHome back?
3. Or is it that I have no option but to go back to factory settings? If yes, how? My phone is bricked. How do I recover using my PC? I read somewhere about "recovery using command prompt" but no steps were mentioned. I already have v10E_00.KDZ.

Please help. Step by step method will help a great deal.
