Hi All
Please explain to me why this happens?
Started when I had the update of software to Jellybean more than a month ago and was advised to deactivate the powersaving option which I did.
I literally switch all my mobile data/powersaving AND noticed that there has been a spike in my airtime been used and the only difference is - Wifi switches on automatically.
This happens more than 9 times a day and is quite frustrating thus could someone explain to me what is happening?
I had the S1 which was great and only believe in Samsung as have the Tab 2 10.1(no jellybean downloaded as not available in South Africa).

Please can comeone out there give me an answer?

Highly appreciated!:'(

Greetings,
I recently bought a Galaxy S3 GT I9305 with the idea to use it on Straight Talk cell service. After trimming the SIM card that Straight Talk sent to fit, and setting the APN to their settings, the phone will not connect to the 3G cell service. According to the owners manual, the icon at the top of the screen should show the 3G symbol when the phone connects to that network. The icon my phone displays is the letter E, with the yellow and green arrows indicating send and receive. I know that there is 3G service in the area, as my daughter's phone is a Samsung Proclaim, bought from Wal-Mart as a Straight Talk phone. I have been in contact with Straight Talk tech support several times, but the APN settings that they supply are not working.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Are there settings other than the APN that need to be changed? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Does my Galaxy S III allow for more than one Bluetooth connection at a time. I would like to connect it to my Garmin Nuvi GPS and also to my motorcycle headset, a Sena SMH10 that allows multiple blue tooth connections.

But if the phone only allows one blue tooth connection at a time then it won't work. What I want to do is run audio from the GPS to my headset and still be able to use my Galaxy to listen to music via my Sena headset.

Thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions.

I accidentally found a way to over come the unsual battery drain. This method may not work out with completely worn out - old batteries. A month...

I accidentally found a way to over come the unsual battery drain. This method may not work out with completely worn out - old batteries. A month after I bought my s3, my battery started to drain excessively. I had installed no new apps..Phone Usage was almost the same. Before the battery drain I got almost 26~30 hours of battery at normal use... after the battery drain I got less than 12 hours for the same usage. So here is the method.Put the phone on charge. After puttting it on charge, switch off the phone... u can restart it after twenty seconds... ideally wait till the phone cools down, if it feels hot... don't use the phone till it reaches 100% charge. This method works for any initial charge. I.e. it works when the battery is at 98% or at 1%. But if u try this method when u have 1% and u keep using the phone while charging, this method may not work... so ideally don't use the phone while charging.*So now I do this everyday and my phone lasts for 26~30 hours on normal use.I used gsam battery monitor pro to monitor my phone's temperature and battery usage. It also gives the average number of hours the battery will last. For those who dont know : Ideally charge the battery when it is leas than 10%. This will increase the overall battery life.
P.s. it works for me. Don't complain if it doesn't work for u!!*
Cheers,

Hi. I'm getting warranty exchange of my Galaxy S3 today.

I have my entire (102 entries) phone book saved to my phones memory (I also have a backup just in case); but the reason why I have it saved there, is because I have pictures assigned to all of my contacts; you can't save pictures to your SIM...

My Galaxy is being replaced by my warranty; how do I copy over everything to the new device? By everything, I mean EVERYTHING. All of the settings, customizations and anything else that would be not on this new Galaxy.

Is there an app in "Playstore" that I can install and run for this? I can save this "backup" to my SD card, and use that to restore.

THANK YOU FOLKS!!

The hardest to tell among all the fakes is the 98% clone especially if you base it on the appearance. Every spec is copied down to the menu and to the icons. But one give away to ALL the fakes even the 98% clone is in the menu. There is no way a fake/clone samsung could have access to the samsung app store so check it carefully. In the original samsung s3 or s3 mini the app store is supposed to say "Samsung Apps" while in all the fake ones it only says "Apps".
