I know most JB users have this problem but everyone seems to have an app or exchange draining most of the battery life. In my case it says it's the screen. I always have the brightness set to the lowest or in auto.
It used to last 1 day without use and 9 hrs with use. Now it lasts less than 10 hours without use and less than 4 hours with constant use.
Screens (with almost no use since the last full charge)
Is there anything else apart from disabling exchange I can do? If not, I guess I'll try doing a factory or hard reset.

I was getting some lag that had increased over the last few 6 month's(Especially with 4.2). A couple of OS updates and the usual crapload of Apps...With the onslaught of Google's updates this week. I was experiencing quite a few oddities, in searches, Apps opening and more lag then I could put up with.

So I backed up my Gallery and flushed with reset. GN is back to new. A few things like adding items to folders, where the folder would move away and make it difficult, got fixed, the start date for my Data usage used to move, that seems fixed. The phone just seems perfect again.

All the new updates to google apps are working perfect again and its just generally snappy again.

I am thinking of returning to Android, and want to know if I can still consider the Galaxy Nexus as a good device? (given that it's nearly 2 years old).

Also, what is the general feeling regarding future updates? especially regarding the 5.0 release (whenever that lands)... Will the G-Nex likely receive said update?

Any help/suggestions would help.

I'm wondering if there are any other GN owners that are having problems with yesterday's release of Google Play Music (version 5.0.1026J.676641). I've installed in but each time I launch it, it quickly force closes and I get an "unexpectedly quit" error. When I uninstall all updates, the older version works fine. Kind of a bummer because I want to give the new All Access thingy a try... for the free 30 day trial.

I see a smattering of feedbacks left in the Play Store that indicate the same problem... but they are across a wide variety of devices.... not only on the Galaxy Nexus. But the vast majority seem to have it working correctly...

Is anyone else having a similar problem? And if so, did you fix it?

Google maps street view does not seem to work over wi-fi on my Galaxy Nexus running Android 4.2.2.

It works over my cellular data connection just fine. But whenever it's connected to wi-fi, it stalls at loading address. This happens whenever I long press over a location that is not listed on the map.

I am running the latest version available for maps at the date of this post.

I have tried uninstalling all updates and then reinstalling the updates, but nothing helps. When I get rid of all updates, I still get the same error as when running the latest version available at the date of this post.

Any assistance that restores the ability to long press over an unlisted location on the map while connected via wi-fi and access street view or not stall at loading address would be appreciated. Below is a video description of the problem.

Hi guys,

Been having my galaxy nexus s for over a year now, never had issues with dropped calls until now. I am currently running Android 4.2.2 on cyanogen 10.1-RC2. I have had various ROMS before and any calls longer than 30 min get dropped for no reason. I am in a full fledged 4G area, not on wifi. I could be at home, or in a parking lot, it doesn't matter, my calls get dropped. I was talking to a friend in Germany and for the 2 hours we talked total, call was dropped 4x. Could it be that I dont have the right "radio" ? I have swapped out my SIM card thinking that could be it, but no go. I also have switched kernels and nothing. Im getting stuck here Any other suggestions? I'm so frustrated that I'm using my old blackberry now lol. I know pretty bad. I think I am just going to go back to stock and unroot and see if that narrows down the problem If I am still dropping calls, then I believe its the hardware and will send to Samsung for repair. I am at a loss.

Thanks guys,
Stephani

My notification volume seems to be stuck on silent. I've been through installed apps including GoSMS and the default Messaging app, and tried using apps in the market, but nothing seems to change the system notification volume.

This screenshot is in the system sound settings, adjusting the notification ringtone... Notice the volume slider is all the way up, but the icon says silent. And as I touch the notification sounds to play them, nothing happens.
What's more, when I use a third-party audio manager app, I can manually raise the notification volume level, but as soon as I leave the app to do anything else, it resets itself to be silent again.
