so i just successfully rooted my sprint galaxy s3! I know, go me! right? just kidding... lol anyway ive been browsing through the forum looking for things to play around with, but it seems that most posts refer to the name of the rom which doesnt really let me know what exactly it does. so i was wondering if any one could point me in the right direction for a large list or other sites with roms/hacks i can mess around with. PS i havent experimented with rooting since the palm pre came out so ive been out of the loop for a few years.

OK I'm perfectly happy with my phone. Rooted with stock recovery. Minus a bunch of bloatware. I mostly just rooted for titanium nandroid and adfree. I was going to go through the trouble of manually updating since the OTA will not work for me. However I my GF has the same phone but stock. She did the update to MD4 and hates the sidebar has massive battery drain and has frozen to the point of needing a battery pull (which sucks with a Otterbox Commuter). We were both super stable with MD1.

Sooo my question: How do I stop the OTA nag? I don't want the update.

Hi all.
I think i have killed my Galaxy S3 i9300!!! :'(
I rooted it and installed the Paranoid Android rom, but then decided to go back to stock rom as I couldn't access the play store.
Now here's the problem... I wiped dalvic cache and did a factory reset, but stupidly wiped the system at the same time.
There is no operating system on the phone at all now and my pc greys out the device when I plug it in.
Odin did recognize the phone, but I couldn't flash a rom to it as it kept getting stuck at 'nand write start' in all versions of odin.
When I try to start in recovery mode (volume up, power and home) I get the green android instead.
I read that it's game over if you can't enter recovery mode.
Have I killed my s3? :-\

but i don't remember to have backuped two times first days on March!

1) Why have i those items before of my true Nandroid backup of May 4, 2013?

2) During the Nandroid Backup (on half work) i got the message that the Ext Sd Card didn't exist but then the procedure was ended. Have i an uncorrupted backup file?

3) into backup i haven't photos, documents, and other things that i had into my internal sd card?

4) i have a stock Rom ("Ema2") as my signature and a different modem. If i install a new lasted rom ("Emc") need i to reinstall Siyah Kernel and the modem?

Thank you for your attention!!:)

Hello, I rooted my phone a couple of days ago (for the first time) and didn't have enough time to flash a custom ROM yet (want to try the MOAR rom). Before jumping into it, I want to make sure I could have all backups necessary. I backed up my current ROM (nandroid backup?) on clockword recovery. I have been reading that I must also back up IMEI/ EFS folder. Does anyone have a link to a site or video that shows how to do this safely on a sprint device? I saw videos for the international, verizon, t mobile and at&T/rogers versions. I'm not sure if I can use the same method with sprint as with the previously mentioned versions, but I would rather be cautious. Any help would be appreciated. Also, If I posted this is the wrong section, I am sorry.
