I think the Epic 4G has been an awesome phone for me, but admittedly I am at a point where I am considering upgrading. It has had issues recently, which have been seeming to get worse, such as regular freezing up or crashing, and warnings about phone space running low.

My biggest issue is I love having a physical keyboard, and the searching I've done this far makes it look like there aren't any new phones with physical keyboards. In fact, it almost seems like my Epic 4G is the newest phone with a keyboard! Any recommendations or suggestions on new phones to look at (either current or coming out soon) with a physical keyboard? Or is going from a physical keyboard to an on screen keyboard not that bad?

Recently I've been trying to only use the on screen keyboard to see if I could get used to it...I usually only last seconds before I slide out the keyboard :p Some habits die hard!

I have a friend that dropped his phone and the screen cracked and no longer lights. It is unrooted and I'm sure doesn't have usb debugging enabled. It has slide lock enable and I guess a prompt for usb storage. He said when he connects it to the computer it doesn't show any drives, even after performing the usual action the screen. I am not familiar with this phone and am not sure of the normal actions to unlock or enable usb prompt etc. to test it myself. Is there a way through adb or performing a nandroid and running it on a vurtualizer or something like that to recover his contacts. He has over 500 contacts not backed up in any way.
