Anyways, I never got to test the mic on my buddy's pair so before I buy a pair of these I'd just like to know if the microphone will work, I heard talk of them working for the nexus 4 but what about my GS3?
When I end a call via my my bluetooth device or when the person I am talking to hangs up before I do, my phone locks itself regardless of the time I have set for screen lock. Can ANYONE please post a solution for this pesky problem? I have come very close to smashing my S3 into something, this screen lock has got be the stupidest thing I have ever dealt with. Thanks in advance!

I've had my Galaxy S3 for just over half a year, and recently have started having multiple crazy battery problems. Google search showed me people who had one problem or another, but not a bunch of them together like I'm experiencing.

1) The battery drains obnoxiously fast, much much faster than it used to, with no use. The phone also heats up a considerable amount in the back.
2) While the phone is plugged in to a charger, it either charges verrrry slowly, or loses percentage on the charger. I can plug it in at for example 20% and it will power off not much later because the battery is drained......except its plugged in and shows that is is charging!
3) At times the phone discharges quickly, down to 1%, and then from 1% climbs back up slowly, to anywhere from 40% to the mid 70%'s, and then discharges back down.

Is my battery fried? If I do indeed get a new one, is there a way I can prevent this from happening again??
If it is not the battery, what in the hell is going on?

Someone please help this is beginning to be a real frustration.
:(:(:(:(:(

Hey Guys,

Long time reader, first time poster.

#1 - I am with Telus. I have an S3.
#2 - My bills are so big, it's unbearable.
#3 - I'm going to move to Wind.

I did my research and it's the way forward for how my phone works and how I use data, etc.

I was wondering how one changes the bands that a phone uses. I am sure it requires a soldering gun or an expert—or both; where can I do this and how can I do it.

Any help is MUCH, MUCH appreciated. I have looked everywhere and can't find a thing on this.

Maybe, I doubt it, but maybe telus will just jump to 4.2 when it's available. Or even better Key Lime Pie!

I had a major battery drain so I followed the advice given on another thread and did a factory reset as they said the OTA update may have been the issue. Now my battery drain is fixed but am I now stuck with having android 4.1.1 or can I try updating it again to 4.1.2. A lot of features I liked are no longer available in this version. Are my choices battery drain during sleep mode with power save on and data and wifi off or having the factory android version. Hope someone can help as this is very frustrating. Also read in another thread that 4.1.2 was supposed to be better on battery life. So condfused.
