Hi everyone,

finally one store had a shipment of ones coming in. I already been there but they said to comeback in 2 hours when they are done with stock inventory and other sheit. What I wanted to ask, before leaving the store what should I check on a phone apart from dead pixels. Heard reports of some built quality issues on some handsets and other stuff. Can you give me a few thing that I need to particularly pay attention to?

Want to be happy with a phone since Iam paying full price for it:)

Thank you

When I push the phone icon. I go to a screen that has a numer pad. If I go into the settings I can change that by selecting smart dial keypad and then it brings up smaller keypad with a last call window on top of key pad. I have went in and put a whole lot of my close contacts into a group, But I find no easy way to get to that group without sliding the screen sideways and then selecting the group under the groups section to open up all of my imeadiate contacts I want.
Is this normall? Is there a way that when I push the phone icon it goes straight to the group I want it to go to with my group of people in it?
Thanks

So I'm sitting here at my desk on my laptop. The room is quite dimly lit, house pretty quiet for a change. My HTC One is sitting next to me as I read forums and check my Google+. Then my notification sound alerts me I've received some sort of message. I pick up my phone, and am pressing the area where the power button should be, and nothing is happening. About a solid minute passes and I'm sort of annoyed, thinking the phone I received just a few days ago is now dead. I hold my phone up to the computer screen, as I'm far too lazy to lean over and turn on a real light, and notice I'm pressing on the USB port on the wrong side of the phone. They located it in the exact location of the power button if you're holding the device upside down.
Sometimes, I am a dummy.

So i currently live in an LTE live area not yet officially announced by Sprint and checking out sensorly i see that people have picked up LTE literally not even more then 60Yards from my house, i too have been able to get lte outside near my house but have seen lte only a few times inside my actual home. So my question, to anyone who has had any previous lte phone from Sprint or to be more specific, the htc evo lte; does the one pick up a better signal? I want to pick up a One next month but the fact that it only supports Sprints 1900mhz Spectrum kind of makes me wonder if it'll be a "worth it" buy cause of the poor building penetration with Sprints current lte where as the Evo lte will support the Upcoming new Frequency. Any feedback is appreciated guys, thanks.

Hey y'all. I am a brand new HTC One user after having been an iPhone addict for the past several years. Actually I have at least one of every iPhone that has come out. Still devoted to Apple and the Mac, however, I've been finding the type to be difficult to read lately, and I'm continually frustrated with the screen real estate on the iPhone 5. Also, the user interface is getting stale in my opinion. iPads are great but even the Mini is too big to be useful for a daily workflow and frankly I just don't find myself reaching for it; just too unwieldy to put in content.

I saw the HTC One out in the wild last week and I basically became obsessed with it. Did a lot of internet research, app research, et cetera.

I love this thing. There's really nothing I have on my iPhone in the Mac eco-verse that there doesn't seem to be for droid. The functions and all the option switches are a little daunting, and there are few things that I would really like to have, but I'm completely hooked on this bad boy. So far nothing has been a deal breaker. Slightly disappointed that I can't save photos from email, but not the worst thing in the world.

One thing I particularly like is the ability to start typing either a phone number or a name on the keypad and have the phone run through the permutations. There's nothing like that on iphone. Also there seems to be a learning function when typing text because I see messages that certain words have been "saved." although the voice transcription on iPhone with Siri is pretty good, it doesn't learn and that's really been frustrating to me.

It's weird because almost everything in iphone had become second nature to me and now learning something all over again is a little challenging. This HTC is a giant piece of hardware that I'm afraid I'm going to drop. I'm used to doing everything with one hand including texting, and I dictate most of my emails into Siri. Also I have accidentally squeezed the volume button too hard and jacked the sound way up to painful a level.

I don't see myself getting rid of my iPhone just yet. Maybe soon, but it's kind of my security blanket. Still having a little difficulty syncing contacts and calendars although I think I have it worked out. I seem to have duplicated and triplicated my contact list somehow, but I think that is a relatively minor thing given how awesome this phone is.

I used to be a blackberry addict way back when (loved that pearl--had 3, plus a bunch of others 8820, I think? and others). I even had an HTC running a Windows OS. Or should I say "not running..."

Anyway go easy, and any tips that you have, I'm all ears!

Hi all,

Got my HTC One the other day and enjoying it so far!

I have a question about the spacing between the Facebook and Twitter (small) widgets. Is it by default that they cannot be resized? It seems that the small Twitter widget won't budge anymore to the top of the screen and won't allow any other widgets to sit just below it. Please see screenshot.
I am having issues with the Pebble acessabilty tab, once I select it my lock screen icons don't work properly & the phone icons to answer/dismiss a call no longer slide up, I only have to touch the icons to answer/dismiss a call, but 99% of the time it answers or dismisses on its own when it's in my pocket because the screen is touching the material of my trousers :(

But anyway .. is there a way to filter out all videos from showing in the Gallery app? For instance, I saved a DVD rip I made (because all my digital copies are stuck in iTunes, bah) to a folder named Videos, and the Gallery app is showing it in my albums.
