Audio Out on UBS Jack? FM Transmitter?

We got the car dock for the Samsung fascinate and it has both usb charger and audio out jacks on its back. This must mean they've added audio out to the USB jack on the phone (ala iPhone/iTouch).

Does anybody know of a FM Transmitter/charger that can take advantage of this? I don't like having to plug in both USB and the headphone jack every time i get into the car if I don't have to.

We have the car dock as well but I haven't been able to get the 3.5mm jack to work, so I'm guessing that functionality hasn't been added yet. I'm not sure why they didn't put the little disclaimer sticker over the jack like they did on the desk cradle.

Anyone who knows differently please let us know. I'm hoping that this is one of the things fixed in Froyo whenever it gets here...

i think you're right, once 2.2 comes out, that audio jack should work

For now i am using the A2DP of the samsung fascinate on my pioneer car system which is capable of blue-tooth audio streaming works like a charm also if you are going to use the phone as a navigator and want the audio through your car speakers

Unfortunately my car's bluetooth does not support a2dp forcing me to use aux cable to listen to media/navigation-voice through the cart stereo. This means every time I have to make/receive a call, I have to unplug the aux cable from the phone. I wonder if anyone can suggest a fix (other than getting a new stereo that supports a2dp....lol)

I have the iriver that I used for my ipod. It works on the radio frequency from your car. Just plug it into a cigarette jack in the car and turn it on. it will pick up the music. Worked on my balckberry too. love it

I have used fm transmitters in the past and I got too much interference in the frequencies.

I have the car dock and 2.2 but the audio jack is still not working. Just using a griffin fm transmitter for now. Reception is inconsistent, but it does have a usb port in case you wanted to charge your phone at the same time.

you need the stock sammy music player.

while playing music, in the now playing section, you will see an icon that looks like a cell phone. press it.
