What does overclocking do to battery life? How badly does it drop?
And conversely, what kind of battery boost could I expect if I underclock by 100 or 200 MHz? - 11-01-2010, 11:38 PM #3
not sure why you would want to go that low. Im at 1.42GHz and so far for today ive been running for over 13 hours on a single charge. Granted, last week before i overclocked i got between 15 and 20 hours of battery life. Still 13 is enough to get me through a day.

Wow, well over 2100 on Quadrant, I don't think any device has reached that yet.

Overclocked to 1.9GHz Quadrant score of 3004!!!

1.9 isn't stable. the dev has stopped working on it for now. 1.8 is pretty stable, but dangerous for the CPU. if i ran that kernel i'd stick with 1.2 just to be safe, and that's still pretty darn fast.

Here's mine with mild OC'ing:

I might try to push it a little farther tomorrow, but it's late.

Let me add that there's another kernel that will allow me to go higher, but i'm having some issues getting it flashed.
