An easier root guide

Okay with the recent posts on semi bricked G2's I figured I would toss this up for anyone who is having trouble rooting.

HTC G2 How To’s | TheUnlockr*Root does not work*

They have step by step guides which include videos so you can see and read exactly what is done. They even show you how to unroot the G2 you need to get S-OFF (security off) before you can perm root the device.

Since people are saying that visionary has been the main cause of a lot of bricked or semi-bricked phones I will link the XDA way of rooting.
I checked the comments on The Unlockr site and i'm guessing from the posts there was an update that doesn't allow that method to get S-OFF anymore. So basically it wont work. Use the links below.

It isn't as nicely put but I trust XDA more then then any other site. It isn't as nicely described but tends to be a more reliable source.

I don't recommended using the Unlockr method to perm root. Using Visionary to perm root has produced lots of problems. There are many other methods. I used Visionary to temp root, then used the Rage/gfree way to perm root. I recommend checking out XDA forum, all the root guides are there

I suppose I got full root before Visionary went bad, I've heard nothing but bad things about it.
