Love my 7' Galaxy Tab. Seriously looking forward to this release. I just hope they price it well. Can't do another $599. But will buy no matter what!!!

:D

The metal casing is nice and the microSD Card is a big plus imo as well. I'm interested but also turned off with the support I got for my 10.1 so I'll probably go with someone elses tablet. This one has impressive specs but even Panasonic is coming out with tablets soon.

Wow, i.m liking this a lot...I thought I wanted the 8.9 but this one has me pausing.

Pricing thoughts?

10.1 = 499
8.9 = 399
7.7 = 299

Or is that wishful thinking? Probably more like...

8.9 = 449
7.7 = 399

Yeah I'd expect $399 for the 16GB Wi-Fi model, if they can do this, the 7.7 will be my first tablet.

Yea, that's more or less the expected pricing. Not too bad IMO. Yours getting a very capable tablet for less, juts in a smaller package. All the specs are still there and honestly would provide a better experience. It's the same resolution as competitors with a 10.1" tablet coupled with a Super Amoled Plus display. Can't beat it.

Should be like the existing one @ $349 for a 16G Wi-Fi. That's if they want to dominate the 7" tablets.

At $349 it would be a steal. In reality though, I don't think they can go quite that low though, remember smaller isn't always cheaper to manufacture. I really hope I'm wrong.

The 8.9 was originally going to be $469 for the 16GB. I doubt that's changed. The 7.7 though, is a very different product. I can see it anywhere from $450 to $599 for 16GB. The price of that display has me curious.

While I would bet in the tablet space, smaller is cheaper as a rule (there is no real work needed towards heat dissapation, expensive small chips, everything would fit in a phone), the jump from LCD to SAMOLED+ at this size might be a big pricing issue. Sony had a monitor out not that long ago, it was about 5 times the size and $5000...

I imagine samsung has seriously improved the process, but the question is, how much? I wouldn't be surprised to see a $599 16GB device. I really hope not though.

If you dont mind me asking, what support problems did you have?

I will have to pay retail as my current SGT 7 is still under contract. $599 less the 2 or 3 hundred I can get for the old one still makes it worth the upgrade for the performance and OS change. Of course, they will push out GB for the old one the day I buy the new one. Love to know when and how much so I can decide when to stop feeding the kids. :)

EDIT: Just read on SlashGear, NO GT 7.7 in USA, come on Samsung, give us a break!!! I will continue to feed the kids, I promise...

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess that means I'll have to get an 8.9 then...assuming that actually comes over.

There are currently no official plans to release the 7.7 in the US, although I am hoping that it is released here. If and when it does come, expect a premium price. I am thinking $449/$499, but I am hoping for $399/$449.

And guess at IFA where it was displayed German courts ordered it removed and all.advertisement so dam it to god apple even threatened by a seven inch tablet. Oh well

what time will be distribute to commercial market? especially in Asia.... cant hardly waiting to have one

I saw today online where the 7.7 went through the FCC. Does this mean that it is coming? I also think it will cost as much & probably more than the 10 if it sales in the US.
