Angry Birds for Android?

Anyone hear of any updates on Angry Birds coming to Android? Last I heard was "sometime this summer". I hope it gets released sometime this month.

nothing yet - I've been waiting too - I've gotten all my ipad/ipod touch friends hooked on it

Well, according to , which was written today (Aug 17), at the very bottom of the article it says: "The company plans to launch a version for Hewlett-Packard’s Palm next week and a version in about two weeks for phones based on Google’s Android, which are already selling in greater numbers than iPhones, Hed said.".

So, maybe in a couple weeks?

Not exactly same game, but a similar type of game. Not like crush the castle was overtly original. However the mechanics of he swing and what birds you have available change the tactics slightly.

Also when checking the market for this game make sure the company it is from Rovio before you download it. Just like the name in the post I quoted above too there is a similar one there today(but its not a game just wall paper or something ) so don't get fooled

The "Angry Birds" game by this company is the one that is on the ipod now so you know what to check for when it is in Android Market

Helping the birds get the eggs back that the pigs stoled LOL,isnt that reason enough haha . Alot of levels, its just a game tho

I loved it because of the incredible replay value of the app. You'd be hard pressed to find another app for .99 cents that is done that well and isn't something you get bored with in a hour or a day. I made it my mission to get three stars on all the levels once I got done with them all.

AND they kept adding levels regularly.

From what I understand from other information is they want to do a large quick Beta Test. So I believe so and even someone that doesn't sign up I'm sure the apk will end up here

How perfect is the timing. Friday is my only day off this week. Not to mention my trip next week. Angry Birds will be played during the entire flight.
