So I just discovered a new tablet made by Monster (the A/V cable company). It has 16GB of storage (and a MicroSD slot), a 1280x800 IPS screen, and also has GPS, dual cameras, etc. It only costs $149, the same price as the ASUS Memo Pad HD.

Is it worth giving a shot?

I wouldn't mind giving it a spin if the place I got it from has a return policy that would allow me to if I wasn't satisfied.

Oh, you mean this: Monster creeps into tablet market with unassuming M7 ?

Very interesting indeed. We'll have to see what kind of reception it gets and what the reviews say.
