Contact Grouping help "favorites" not syncing

I have the favorites widget with all of my friends on it. I want to remove a couple of people from the widget.

I know how to do this..you just edit the persons contact and "uncheck" them from your favorites list.

I do this, save the contact, and look at the contact and it says Groups : None.

I thought that would do the trick, but I go back to the widget and the person is still on the widget, it won't sync. I can add people i just can not delete people. Can anyone help? Thanks.

If you are syncing to Google Contacts, open it up in your desktop browser and uncheck the Favorites group for each of the contacts you wish to remove from that group. If this is not working for you then there is something else going on.

I think the problem may be related to facebook. The person I deleted is no longer listed as a favorite in my contact list, but his facebook contact is now on the widget. Does anyone know how to delete a facebook contact from the favorites widget?
