RUU Update - Low battery?

I'm trying to get my Desire back to stock as its random reboot issue is getting worse and worse every day and I want to send it in for repairs. When I run the RUU update however, it keeps telling me that the battery is below 30% and that I need to charge it before I run the RUU. From what I can tell however, the phone's pretty much fully charged. I've tried wiping the battery stats in Clockwork as well, didn't help.

i would try doing a factory reset in clockwork and wipe everthing and can u plug the phone in when u do the ruu
