Will tablet wifi work in South America

I was looking to buy a tablet for travel. I will be going to Argentina and want to access the internet to check email, surf and read. will I be able to use hotspots and home wifi to access the internet just like here in the US?

It should work just fine. I use my laptop and mobile WiFi all the time when travelling abroad.

Note that some places, after connecting, will redirect you to their home page. Some places, hotels for example, will give you a username and password.

Yes it will work fine using WIFI. WIFI is not an American standard. Everyone uses pretty much the same thing.

thank you. I am soooo excited to get a new toy. Looking at the Acer probably. too bad the battery only lasts for a day.
