It depends, with the power off, hold Vol + (or maybe -) button, then press the power button and release both after a second or 2.

This should boot you into the recovery menu.

If it does, I can give you more possible things.

If it doesn't, and you see nothing but grey, well, I'd hate to say it, but it doesn't look good.

Your phone, was originally a Windows Mobile device, until some smart person found out a way to put Android on it. Because of this, the hd2 phones run a little strange sometimes.
