I have a HTC Wildfire and have rooted it, put ClockWorkRecovery on it and then flashed CyanogenMod 7.0.3. Speed is great and better than the Eclair version that was on my phone. However I have been running on this for a couple of months now and have experienced the following:

  • WhatsApp is not working on this platform (use it a lot and miss it)
  • System hangs frequently and I have to remove the battery
  • Miss
some of the excellent HTC widgets

I was wondering whether it's possible to now flash a Sense UI that run Gingerbread and where can I find the update?

Help is much appreciated.

You can't flash HTC sense onto CM7.There are however, some Roms that managed to retain Sense.

Your system probably hangs due to an app that really shouldn't be running on it. Usually this is the prime reason. Bad app, rogue app. You'll have to uninstall any "suspect", starting with the Whatsapp if you managed to get it installed.

Utility apps are prime suspects, especially task managers.

You'll just have to remove 1 at a time until you find the culprit, or reflash and start fresh.
