Remotely control your Android Tablet?
I have recently been considering if my wifes Android phone/tablet can completely replace her iPod and have come to the following conclusion. It cannot, unless someone can point me to a device that serves the following application.
First, She needs to be able to move around and wirelessly control my music player. This is possible if she were not using a stereo to play the music.
Secondly, She needs to be able to connect the phone/tablet to a stereo system. This is possible with cables I know but then the issue comes in with my first request to be able to wirelessly control the music.
The following is an example of a product that serves this purpose on her ipod quite well. She is able to connect the iPod to the stereo and then wirelessly control the device.
Amazon.com: Scosche Extreme Sport Wrist-Mounted iPod Remote Control: MP3 Players & Accessories
Does anyone know if anything that would serve this purpose to control a music player on an android tablet, via Bluetooth, or some RF reciever that can attach to the USB or anything?
The other option that I can think of is if there were a way to attach a Bluetooth AD2P reciever that we can send audio to that can directly connect to the stereo. I suspect that this is the harder of the 2 methods.
Thoughts, ideas, solutions would be appreciated. There is a market out there for a device that does this. In this case being a dance teacher is the example. Being near the device is not an good option and is a large waste of time when teaching to need to get to the device to start over.

Re: Remotely control your Android Tablet?
Actually the second method is the easiest and will work with all bluetooth devices like android phones, tablets etc.
Basically you get one of these devices - Belkin Bluetooth receiver and connect it to your stereo system, after that you can use any any Bluetooth enable phone/tablet to stream audio to it. - 11-14-2011, 03:26 PM

Re: Remotely control your Android Tablet?
Thanks for the info. That may work. Have to find out if carrying a tablet is an option for her. Previously she could just strap the remote to her arm and control the device. Carrying the device may be harder in this specific use case.
