spam ads in notification bar for ipad2 .

I just switched to Verizon from att less than a week ago and got a motorola razr. I'm new to android phones, ive had iPhones since the original one came out and its taking sometime getting use to it.

I got a notification today. I can't really remember what the notification said but i clicked on it. when I clicked on it, my browser opened up and a small box popped up and said Congrats att customers you have won the android give away for a pad 2. The web page was how to claim your prize. I know it was spam so I closed the window.

I just want to know why I'm getting this? I haven't downloaded many apps yet. Hell I'm still learning all the settings.

Look for an app in the market called airpush detector. You can try addons detector as well. Download it and it will scan your device and let you know what app is causing the adds.
