Credential security password

Is there anyway to recover from forgetting your credential storage password? I haven't attempted 3 times so I'm not locked out or anything, but I want to change the password and can't remember the original. I'm I looking at a hard reset?

Do you even use secure credentials? From what I've read it is really rare to need this option, unless you connect to a VPN.

The phone apparently uses it for company e-mail and connecting to our corporate wireless...

You should be able to delete the credential store in the same settings screen as you set the password. This means you would then need to re-create one and you would use your saved passwords, But no reason to wipe the phone! As mentioned before, its only to keep your passwords safe.
