I have just bought a Sim free GSM Nexus S (I9020) in the hope that I could put ICS on it but the OTA ICS rollout for GSM Nexus S's seems to have died in December and never started again and the 'downloadable' version is for US TMobile handsets so errors when I try it on mine.
To add to my woes my new phone is on Android 2.3.1 and when I get it to look for updates it tells me it is up to date.
As my phone is sim free, where should it be getting OTA updates from? My carrier, Google? and do I need to set something to tell it where to look for these updates.
Surly at the very least ir should have updated to 2.3.4.
Cheers
Mike
