    Default Question

So, I want the Android equivalent of an iPod touch. I don't want a data plan, monthly fee, or phone. My question is, can I get an Android phone, and just take out the SIM card or something, not register it, and not use the phone part? Or is there something that would prevent me from doing that?
    Thanks for any help

I think it would have to be unlocked for it to work without the SIM, but other than that it should be fine.

I think Samsung has an IPod touch like device. Saw it in a Best Buy ad. Its called Samsung Galaxy Player or something like that. No plan or monthly fee or anything. Could check that out.

Or pick up an older device on e-bay. If you want market access you can register a Google account with Wi-Fi. There is no need to have carrier activation to use the device.
