Browser exploits in android?

I was just wondering if android suffers the same browser exploits and drive by downloads that windows does. I ask because some programs such as lookout only scan apps, not the entire file system. Can someone enlighten me on this?

Android isn't Windows, so naturally Windows-based exploits won't work.
