This weekend my stock email app started having problems and not working: it is very slow or freezes.
I have three email accounts on it: one gmail, one yahoo, and one work email that uses MS Exchange to link email and calendar.

I'm not sure what happened to make it respond differently all of a sudden. The rest of my programs and phone are working fine.

1. Any suggestions on how to fix?

2. I would uninstall and reload, but it is a stock app - how do you do that with a stock app?

Try removing and then re-configuring the Accounts. Should clear it up. Sounds like you need to clear out the Temp files.

You might also want to look at K-9 or Touchdown. Both are really good alternative email apps.

Ok... that did it: i just erased all the accounts, cleared the temp files (I had to tell it to clear a couple times to get to 0.0kb), and then re-set up the accounts. Thank you!
