IMAP Email-can receive but not send?!

My co-worker has the Bionic, and we set up our IMAP work email. He receives, the emails but when he tries to compose a message on his Bionic to send he gets the following message:

Message not sent Invalid Server Certificate

Anyone have any suggestions on what the problem might be? I'm no tech, freely admit, but I've set up his and other co-workers phones to receive/send emails with our work emails.

You're not sending via IMAP, you're sending via SMTP or Exchange or some other outgoing protocol. (IMAP is a receive/incoming protocol.) Talk to your network administrator and get the phone set up to send via the protocol your network uses.
