Hey, I recently got a Acer A200 with ICS and I'm loving it so far.
The only thing that gets on my nerves is this "game of the day"widget that appears on my home screen every other day. If I ckick it, it takes me to the App store. I have to manually remove it which bothers me. I have no idea how to stop it. is this some official Google thing, that's part of Android?
I would like to know if someone else knows what I'm talking about and can tell me how to stop it from appearing. I don't think it's something Acer put on the tablet, because today's app wasn't even compatible w/ my device.
Thank you!

I think it is most definitely something Acer put on the tablet. It's not something you would find in the stock Android OS. The GOTD app not being compatible with you tablet doesn't have anything to do with the widget. That's Google Play's fault. If it is indeed pre-loaded bloatware, then you'll only be able to delete it by rooting. First, I would check all the apps to see which one is running this, and maybe there's an option to turn it off.
