Re: Text message issue
I agree - delete both contacts and re-add them. If they have a common number, like a home phone, then the one you put in first will be the one that displays even if you hit "Home" on the other contact.
Hope this helps. Some say that his dormant chips were left that way for YOUR SAFETY... Others say that once "turned on," he can not be turned off... All we know is... He's called The Stig. - 05-23-2012, 09:02 AM

Re: Text message issue
Here's what I have. I have two google accounts, one for family and the other for business, to check both gmail accounts, calendars, etc.
In the family account, we have one contact for my wife and I, and it includes both our names and phone numbers. We use this primarily for emails, and not for phone contacts management.
In the business account, I have one contact for me with my phone and one for my wife with her phone. I use this account for business emails and to manage my phone's contacts.
There are no contacts that are joined. - 05-29-2012, 09:58 AM

Re: Text message issue
Ok, I think (and reeeeealy hope) this did the trick.
I went in to the app menu > Settings > Accounts, and removed the family gmail account.
In Accounts, I added the family gmail account back by adding a Google Account, but on one the the setup screens it asked me what I was wanting to sync. So I marked what I did want, gmail, Calendar, Drive, etc, and left Contacts unchecked.
I have received a text message and the correct contact displayed! Hallelujah! lol
I hope this helps anyone with those duplicate issues.
