Guys,

any general advice on how i can tether my sony xperia ray to my PC and therefore my PC to be using the phone for web access.

Im assuming this is simple, maybe there is a need for an app.

see if you can download EasyTether lite from the Play store. Some carriers block it. It will let you tether using a US cable, does not require root and works very well. Only limitation with the free version is that you can not use SSL pages.


Also try android-wifi-tether if you have root - then you can trun your phone into a hotspot.
