HTC EVO: I downloaded a pic from my gmail, but where did it go?
I got a picture sent to me as an attachment to an email in my gmail account, and it gave me the option to "preview" or "download." I chose download, and it appeared to be downloading. It allowed me to then click on and view the picture from the email. However, I cannot find it except through the email it was sent in -- e.g. it's not in my gallery, or downloads. I've tried downloading it several more times, and the only information I've been able to get is that the "File" is "file://mnt/sdcar...." I don't know if that has any implication about where it is on my phone.
How can I locate it? It is very urgent that I find this photo and delete it from my phone. Thank you! - 05-23-2012, 07:26 PM #2

mnt/sdcar is /mnt/sdcard
It's either in the root of your SD CArd or it's in the /download directory on the SD Card.
Use a file manager, like Astro from the Play store, and you can see what's on the SD Card easier.

Instead of looking in the "download" folder look in the "Messaging" folder. This is where my phone downloads email attachments to.
