How to Spend Google Wallet Prepaid Card Online?

Google Wallet says all over their page, that you can use this feature online with anyone supporting Google checkout vendors.

Yet any online vendor I attempt checkout with, wants a credit card, even after signing into the Google account using the Google checkout option.

I have $50 on the prepaid card portion of Google Wallet to burn.

IS it seriously going to block access to the prepaid card funds for NFC purchases only?

I can't find any supporting evidence in one direction or another.

Any ideas out there??

PS, there are no desirable local NFC Google Wallet participants in my area, thus why I want to use it online.

I experienced the same issue and have been awaiting a callback since Sunday. I went to Rite-Aid and purchased a gift card, for the website from which I was trying to order, using Google Wallet. At least it works in person.:p

I'm in the same boat as you. Most (if not all) of the "paypass" merchants around me.... their damn tap to pay doesn't work. Then when i try to get online and order something, it doesn't let me use the prepaid card. What good is this free money if you cant use it?
