I am trying to use the EVO with a bluetooth music adapter (a2dp). With the Iphone, when I enter the room it automatically connects with the adapter as soon as it is in range and the bluetooth is on.
With the EVO it will not automatically connect. In the settings menu the adapter shows as "paired not connected". To connect I have to tap on the device in the list and then it will connect.
My understanding is that it should (re)connect automatically as the iphone does.
I have tried this with two different bluetooth music adapters from different companies and it is the same with both, no connect unless done manually.
In my searching around I see some posts that say it is a bug in android 2.1 and you have to make the phone discoverable after every boot to (temporarily) fix it, others that it does not work at all, and the rest that it works fine.
Any ideas? It is a pita to go to unlock, security code, menu, settings, wireless, bluetooth, click on device and then connect.
